Product Description:

The 5131CE DC servo amplifier, designed by Copley Controls, is built for high-performance motion control apps. The compact form factor and high-power density of this amplifier make it suitable for use even in space-restricted areas. The unit incorporates advanced control algorithms for high dynamic performance and precise motor control. This amplifier features protection against over and under voltages as well as over temperatures.

The product operates in torque mode with digital controllers. The unit comprises an internal solderless socket with 40 pins to configure the current limit and gain settings. It resets itself automatically to correct the faults if its reset input is wired to the ground. This amplifier comes with a bandwidth of 3 kHz. The product supports customization for a specific application. It functions from an unregulated power supply with transformer isolation and comes with individual limits for peak, continuous and peak-time currents. The unit offers fail-safe operation with its internal J4 jumper.

This amp delivers a 5V output voltage with no load. At the time of operation, its surface could become pretty hot. The product encompasses a loop gain potentiometer that rotates in the counterclockwise direction by default. To depict the different operating statuses, it comes with 3 LEDs. In addition to this, it has high MTBF rate to ensure stable performance. The unit is used to control DC brushless motors from the same manufacturer with plenty of features. This DC servo amplifier has a typical load inductance varying between 200 uH and 40 mH as well as a PWM switching frequency of 25 kHz.
