The XFE01.1-FB-20 is a CAN communication expansion manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the XM21 IndraControl Systems series. Inserted beside the base controller, the unit can provide additional field-bus capacity so any distributed drives, sensors, and remote I/O can be linked to the central PLC without external gateways. Its function in industrial automation is to streamline real-time data exchange while preserving the compact footprint and modularity expected of DIN-rail mounted control hardware.
The power section is designed for control cabinet supply rails, drawing a nominal input of 24 V DC (PELV/SELV) and accepting a lower limit of 18 V DC and an upper limit of 31.2 V DC. Under worst-case load the electronics consume a maximum of 0.2 A, which equates to a peak dissipation of 4.8 W. A non-replaceable 4 A internal fuse protects the circuitry against reverse polarity or short-circuit conditions.
