The XCS2-W0210ABN-01NETT0ECNN-S03RSN2NNNN0NN is a single-axis converter in the XCS Single Axis ctrlX Converters series manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat. As part of the ctrlX DRIVE platform, this Generation 2 unit combines power electronics and motion control to regulate one motor in automated machinery. It supports multiple fieldbus protocols and hardware-based safety functions, allowing machine builders to coordinate speed, torque, and protective functions through a compact module intended for panel mounting inside an electrical enclosure.
The converter exchanges control data through a Multi-Ethernet interface and operates from a three-phase supply of 200 to 500 V AC with a tolerance of +10% to -15%. Its power stage can deliver up to 210 A to the motor terminals, providing the current required for demanding acceleration and load cycles. Thermal management relies on internal air cooling, so the cabinet must maintain adequate airflow around the heat sink and ventilation openings. The housing has an IP20 degree of protection and must remain inside a suitable electrical enclosure. The maximum output frequency remains below 599 Hz. A multi-encoder interface accommodates compatible motor feedback devices without requiring a separate feedback module.
Fieldbus process data can be accessed over EtherCAT (SoE) for real-time communication with the higher-level motion controller. SafeMotion hardware option 1 supports drive-integrated protective functions beyond basic shutdown control. The mandatory safety channel provides Safe Torque Off (STO), which interrupts gate signals to the power semiconductors without disconnecting the mains supply. Dynamic braking energy is controlled by the integrated braking transistor, which switches regenerated energy to an appropriately selected braking resistor when the DC-bus voltage rises. The converter is supplied without a local operating panel or motor connector set, so those components must be selected separately when required. DRIVE Runtime support allows the unit to operate within the ctrlX DRIVE control environment and exchange motion commands with compatible automation systems.
