Product Description:
The XCS2-W0210ABN-01AETT0NNNN-S03RSN2NNNN0NN is a second-generation single-axis converter manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the XCS Single Axis ctrlX Converters series. Integrated into the ctrlX DRIVE architecture, this unit supplies and modulates power for one servo or induction motor within a distributed automation cell. It connects the drive hardware to higher-level PLC or IoT systems and generates controlled output waveforms for speed, torque, and position control. These capabilities support applications such as packaging machines, pick-and-place gantries, and similar automated equipment.
The converter accepts an input of three-phase AC 200–500 V, +10%/-15%, allowing operation on a wide range of three-phase power systems without an autotransformer. Within this voltage range, the power section can deliver up to 210 A, providing matched motors with substantial peak current for rapid acceleration. Component temperatures are managed by internal air cooling, which channels cabinet air through integrated fans without requiring external heat-sink ducts. The enclosure has an IP20 rating, providing protection against accidental finger contact with live components while requiring installation inside a control cabinet. For real-time data exchange with the motion controller, the converter supports EtherCAT (SoE), which provides cycle-synchronous commands and diagnostic traffic through standard RJ45 connectors.
A built-in braking transistor directs regenerated energy to an external resistor, keeping the DC-link voltage within acceptable limits during motor deceleration. The controller also includes a Multi-Ethernet interface that supports flexible communication with compatible industrial networks. Safety functions include Safe Torque Off (STO), which uses redundant channels to prevent the motor from producing torque when the function is active. The installed SafeMotion hardware option 1 supports advanced stopping and motion-limiting functions when the appropriate features are enabled in the DRIVE Runtime environment. These safety functions are integrated into the converter, reducing the need for separate control components and limiting additional external wiring.
