Product Description:
The XCS2-W0150ABN-02NETT0ECNN-S03RSN2TF1S0NN is a Generation 2 single-axis converter in the XCS Single Axis ctrlX Converters series from Bosch Rexroth Indramat. As a ctrlX DRIVE device, it regulates servo and induction motors in automated machinery by combining the power section, safety layer, and drive intelligence in one housing. The unit’s standard runtime environment executes motion functions, while the Technology App framework allows additional drive-based tasks to run without an external PLC. This integrated design supports applications such as coordinated production equipment, material-handling systems, and machine tools that require precise motor control.
The power stage accepts a three-phase 200–500 V AC supply with a tolerance of +10%/-15% and delivers up to 150 A of output current to the motor windings. Heat is removed by internal air cooling, so no external liquid lines are required inside the cabinet. The converter has an IP20 protection rating, making it suitable for closed electrical enclosures with controlled airflow. Communication with higher-level controllers is handled through a Multi-Ethernet interface that automatically detects supported industrial protocols. A braking transistor in the power section controls the dissipation of regenerated energy during rapid deceleration. The output frequency remains below 599 Hz, and external peripherals can be selected to suit the installation.
Drive control runs on the ctrlX DRIVEplus hardware platform, and integrated functional safety is provided by Safe Torque Off (STO). Real-time cyclic data exchange with motion controllers is available through EtherCAT (SoE). A multi-encoder interface accepts feedback from resolvers, TTL encoders, or SFDQ encoders without requiring extra modules. Hardware option 1 enables SafeMotion functions, including safe speed and safe position limits when the appropriate software license is active. The converter operates with the standard runtime profile and can host uploaded Technology Apps for application-specific calculations. Web-based tools provide access to setup, diagnostics, and operating parameters without requiring a front-mounted operator panel.
