Product Description:
The XCS2-W0150ABN-02AETM5ECNN-S05RSN1NNNN3NN is a Generation 2 single-axis converter manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the XCS Single Axis ctrlX Converters series. Its Generation 2 design incorporates updated power electronics and diagnostic capabilities. As a ctrlX DRIVE device, it connects a three-phase power source to a servo or induction motor while executing current and speed control loops. The unit combines power electronics, safety functions, and Ethernet-based communication for compact motion control in packaging, material-handling, and machining equipment.
The power stage accepts a three-phase AC supply from 200 to 500 V, with +10% and -15% tolerances, allowing operation on common 200, 400, and 480 V power systems. It can deliver up to 150 A to the motor, providing additional current for rapid acceleration and demanding motion cycles. The converter uses internal air cooling, with an integrated fan removing heat without requiring external ductwork. Its IP20 enclosure protects against contact with hazardous internal components and is intended for installation inside a protected control cabinet. Network access is provided through Multi-Ethernet communication, which supports EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, or EtherCAT through a common interface. A front panel allows local access to operating parameters and diagnostic information.
Control logic is provided by ctrlX DRIVEplus hardware running the standard DRIVE Runtime environment. Software Version 05 (XCS2) supports the SafeMotion Speed scope and the SafeMotion (M5) safety function. The second option slot contains a multi-encoder interface for compatible motor feedback devices, while the third slot is not equipped. Real-time setpoints are transmitted through Sercos III for synchronized communication with the motion controller. A built-in braking transistor directs regenerated energy to an external braking resistor during motor deceleration. A motor connector set is not included with the converter, so the required connectors must be selected for the installation. The standard runtime environment does not include a technology function application.
