Product Description:
The XCS2-W0150ABN-01AETT0NNNN-S04RSN2NNNN0NN is a single-axis converter produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the XCS Single Axis CtrlX Converters series. Designed for installation in motion-control cabinets, this Generation 2 device controls one motor axis and operates in a standard runtime environment with DRIVE Runtime functionality. Its maximum output frequency remains below 599 Hz, making it suitable for machinery that does not require higher electrical output frequencies. The single-axis architecture provides dedicated power conversion and motion control within a compact cabinet-mounted unit.
The power stage accepts 3 × AC 200–500 V with a +10%/-15% tolerance and can deliver up to 150 A of output current to the connected motor axis. Heat is removed through internal air cooling, which directs airflow across the internal power components and heat sink. The enclosure has an IP20 protection rating, preventing fingers and similarly sized objects from contacting hazardous internal parts. Command, status, and diagnostic data are exchanged through EtherCAT (SoE), providing deterministic communication with a compatible higher-level controller. This interface supports synchronized motion commands and drive data exchange in machines with tightly coordinated operating cycles.
The converter also provides Multi-Ethernet connectivity for integration with supported industrial Ethernet networks. Its control electronics use the ctrlX DRIVE hardware platform, which provides the processing foundation for drive regulation, communication, and runtime functions. Regenerated energy produced during motor deceleration is managed by a built-in braking transistor, which switches the energy into the connected braking path when the DC bus voltage rises. Functional safety includes Safe Torque Off (STO), which prevents torque-producing energy from reaching the motor when the safety function is active. A hardware SafeMotion option can support additional safety functions when activated for the application. The converter includes a front-mounted operating panel for local setup and status access, while the motor connector set must be provided separately. No technology function application is preinstalled, leaving the available application storage open for functions selected for the machine.
