The XCS2-W0120ABN-02AETM5ECNN-S05RSN1NNNN3NN is a single-axis converter manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the XCS Single Axis ctrlX Converters series. As a second-generation ctrlX DRIVE unit, it conditions three-phase mains power and executes motion commands for one motor axis, supporting coordinated speed, torque, and position control in automated machinery. The converter is designed for cabinet mounting in modular production lines where compact equipment, integrated safety functions, and network communication are required. Its single-axis design allows the power electronics and motion-control functions to operate within one unit.
The converter accepts a supply of 3 x AC 200 to 500 V, +10%/-15%, allowing operation across multiple plant voltages without a step-up transformer. A continuous output current of 120 A supports compatible servo or induction motors used in medium-power applications. The built-in braking transistor manages regenerated energy during rapid deceleration when connected to an appropriate braking resistor. Thermal management relies on internal air cooling, so airflow within the electrical enclosure removes heat from the converter. The housing has an IP20 degree of protection and is intended for installation inside a closed electrical cabinet. Fieldbus integration is provided through Multi-Ethernet connectivity, with support for Sercos III, EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, and EtherCAT communication. A front-mounted operating panel provides local access to settings and status information. Hardware Option 2 adds a multi-encoder interface that accepts EnDat, Hiperface, or resolver feedback signals.
Motion supervision includes SafeMotion Speed under the Safety Category M5 profile, providing integrated monitoring for speed-related safety functions. Control logic runs on ctrlX DRIVEplus hardware with the DRIVE Runtime environment, allowing the converter to process axis commands and feedback data. Deterministic communication with higher-level PLCs is available through the supported Sercos III protocol. The converter is supplied without a motor connector set, so the required connector components must be selected for the connected motor and cable arrangement. Hardware Option 3 is not installed, and no technology function application is preloaded. The maximum output frequency remains below 599 Hz.
