The XCS2-W0120ABN-01NETT0NNNN-S03RSN1NNNN0NN is a Generation 2 single-axis converter from Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the XCS Single Axis ctrlX Converters series. In an automation line, the unit conditions three-phase mains power and modulates the output frequency for one motor axis. It coordinates motor motion under the ctrlX platform and exchanges operating data with the connected control system. This integrated design combines power conversion and axis control in one unit, reducing the number of separate components required in the control cabinet.
The converter communicates over Multi-Ethernet networks and uses integrated ctrlX DRIVE control hardware, allowing it to exchange topology and diagnostic data with PLCs that support multiple industrial protocols. It accepts an input of 3 × AC 200 to 500 V, +10%/-15% for operation with a broad range of industrial power systems. The power stage can deliver up to 120 A of phase current to the motor windings. Heat is removed through internal air cooling, which directs cabinet air through the power stage without requiring external ducts. The maximum output frequency remains below 599 Hz, so the product does not require an export license based on output frequency. The converter is supplied without a motor connector set, allowing the necessary field wiring components to be selected for the installation. No technology function application is preinstalled, and the unit uses the Standard DRIVE Runtime for standard motion tasks.
The housing has an IP20 protection rating, guarding against accidental contact with internal electrical components while permitting cabinet ventilation. An embedded Sercos III interface can be selected from the Multi-Ethernet stack when deterministic, real-time motion communication is needed. The power section includes a braking transistor that controls the dissipation of regenerative energy through a suitable braking circuit. Functional safety is provided by Safe Torque Off (STO) within the SafeMotion hardware option 1 configuration, allowing motor torque production to be disabled through the safety system. The converter uses Version 03 for the XCS2 platform. Hardware options 2 and 3 are not installed, and the unit does not include a front access panel.
