Product Description:
Bosch Rexroth Indramat supplies the XCS2-W0120ABN-01AETT0NNNN-S04RSN1NNNN0NN as part of the XCS Single Axis ctrlX Converters series. This Generation 2 single-axis converter regulates the speed and torque of one motor within modular automation lines. It can operate with compatible servo or induction motors to deliver coordinated motion through the ctrlX DRIVE platform. The single-axis design allows the device to manage a dedicated motor while exchanging commands and operating data with the wider machine control system.
The converter accepts a three-phase supply of 3 × AC 200–500 V (+10 / -15%). Its continuous output current reaches 120 A, supporting medium-power motion axes with sustained torque requirements. Internal forced-air cooling moves heat through the housing without requiring an external cooling fan. Network traffic is carried through Multi-Ethernet interfaces, allowing connection to EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, or OPC UA networks without separate communication cards. The cabinet-mount enclosure has an IP20 degree of protection and must be installed inside a closed electrical cabinet. An integrated operating panel provides local access to parameters and drive status information. Standard runtime files execute within the DRIVE Runtime environment to support motor control and communication tasks.
Real-time cyclic data exchange with higher-level motion controllers is handled through the Sercos III protocol. Dynamic deceleration energy is managed by the built-in braking transistor, which controls the transfer of regenerated energy to a suitable braking circuit. Hardware-based Safe Torque Off (STO) prevents torque-producing power from reaching the motor when the safety function is activated. Hardware Option 1 adds SafeMotion functions for applications that require expanded drive-based safety capabilities. The converter is supplied without a motor connector set, so compatible connectors must be selected for the installed motor and cable arrangement. Internal cooling passages require adequate cabinet airflow and clearances to maintain effective heat removal during continuous operation. The device mounts within a modular drive assembly, where its power, control, and communication connections support integration with adjacent ctrlX DRIVE components.
