Product Description:
The XCS2-W0120ABN-01AETT0ECNN-S04RSN2NNNN0NN is a single-axis converter manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the XCS Single Axis ctrlX Converters series. It combines power electronics with drive control to regulate one servo or induction motor in automated machinery. The unit works with ctrlX DRIVE control hardware and supplies variable motor output for positioning systems, conveyors, handling equipment, and coordinated motion tasks. Its single-axis design allows the converter to manage motor torque, speed, and position from one integrated unit.
The converter accepts a three-phase supply of 3 × AC 200–500 V (+10%/-15%), allowing direct connection to a broad range of industrial power systems. Its integrated power section can deliver up to 120 A of phase current for demanding acceleration and continuous-motion requirements. Internal airflow removes heat from the power electronics without requiring an external cooling circuit. The IP20 housing protects against accidental contact with internal electrical components and is intended for installation inside a suitable control cabinet. Control and diagnostic data travel through Multi-Ethernet ports, while real-time drive commands use the EtherCAT (SoE) protocol. The converter is configured with the Standard runtime environment and the DRIVE Runtime functional scope. An included front panel provides local access to operating parameters and status information. A motor connector set is not included, so compatible connectors and cables must be selected for the connected motor and cabinet layout.
Hardware option 1 provides Safe Torque Off (STO), which disables torque-producing motor power when the safety function is activated. This option also supports the SafeMotion functional scope for monitored motion and controlled stopping functions. Hardware option 2 adds a multi-encoder interface that accepts resolver, EnDat, or BiSS feedback without requiring an external conversion gateway. This feedback capability allows the drive controller to receive motor position and speed data from several common encoder types. The power stage includes a braking transistor that directs regenerative energy to a compatible external braking resistor during deceleration. The external resistor must be selected according to the regenerative load and braking duty of the connected axis. The converter uses Generation 2 hardware and includes a front-accessible arrangement for control, communication, feedback, and safety connections.
