Product Description:
The XCS2-W0100ABN-02NX3T0ECET-S03RSN0NNNN0NN is a single-axis converter produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the XCS Single Axis CtrlX Converters series. As a Generation 2 ctrlX DRIVE unit, it combines a power stage with integrated control logic to regulate one motor in an industrial automation cell, providing speed and torque adjustment without requiring an external motion controller. It translates commands from a higher-level PLC into precise current and voltage patterns that keep a servo or induction motor synchronized with process demands.
The converter accepts a three-phase supply of 3 × AC 200–500 V with a tolerance of +10%/-15%, allowing it to connect to plant power systems within this voltage range without an autotransformer. Heat produced by the switching devices is removed through internal air cooling, allowing cabinet installation without liquid-cooling circuits. The IP20 enclosure requires installation in a protected panel while allowing convenient access to the field wiring. The power section supplies up to 100 A of output current, providing capacity for acceleration peaks and demanding continuous loads. A built-in braking transistor directs regenerated energy to an external resistor, which helps prevent DC-link overvoltage during rapid deceleration or the lowering of vertical loads.
Control and communication functions run on ctrlX CORE software, while the drive electronics use ctrlX DRIVEplus hardware to combine real-time motion control with expandable, app-based functions. Functional safety is provided by Safe Torque Off, which disables the gate drives and removes torque-producing motor power without cycling the mains contactor. Network connectivity is provided by the factory-installed Multi-Ethernet option, which supports the selection of EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, or EtherCAT for integration with different industrial network architectures. This communication flexibility allows the converter to exchange commands, operating data, and diagnostic information with compatible machine controllers. The integrated control platform can also manage drive functions locally, reducing the amount of separate control equipment required within the cabinet.
