The industrial single-axis converter XCS2-W0100ABN-02AX3T0NNET-S04RSN0NNNN0NN is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the XCS Single Axis ctrlX Converters series. The converter belongs to the Generation 2 ctrlX DRIVE platform and is intended for compact automation systems that require controlled motion from one axis. It conditions three-phase mains power and supplies regulated current to a compatible servo or induction motor. This arrangement supports closed-loop control of motor torque, speed, and position when the converter is paired with the appropriate motor feedback and control equipment.
The power stage uses ctrlX DRIVEplus hardware and accepts a supply of 3 x AC 200 to 500 V, +10%/-15%. Its peak output current of 100 A supports medium-power axes and provides additional current during acceleration or changing loads. An internally guided airflow path removes heat from the power electronics without requiring external air ducts. The IP20 housing is intended for installation inside a protective control cabinet, where the surrounding enclosure prevents direct exposure to dust and moisture. A factory-installed braking transistor controls the transfer of regenerated energy to a suitable braking circuit during motor deceleration. The maximum output frequency remains below 599 Hz. A motor connector set is not included, so the field connections can be selected to match the motor and machine wiring arrangement.
Signal exchange and software-based configuration rely on ctrlX CORE, which provides the processing environment for drive control and communication functions. Protocol selection, diagnostics, and parameterization are handled through software apps in that environment. The third hardware slot contains a Multi-Ethernet interface, allowing the converter to communicate as an EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, or EtherCAT node without an additional communication card. Functional safety is provided by Safe Torque Off (STO), which prevents torque-producing motor power when the safety function is activated. DRIVE Runtime operates within the Standard runtime environment, while software maintenance and updates are supported through ctrlX WORKS. SafeMotion hardware option 1 is installed to support the converter’s integrated safety architecture.
