Product Description:
The XCS2-W0100ABN-02AETT0ECDA-S03RSN2NNNN0NN from Bosch Rexroth Indramat is a Generation 2 single-axis converter in the XCS Single Axis ctrlX Converters series. Serving as the link between a plant controller and a servo or induction motor, the unit modulates incoming power to produce precise speed and torque profiles in automated machinery. It belongs to the ctrlX DRIVE family and is designed for cabinet-mounted applications that require compact, networked motion control on modern production lines. Its single-axis architecture provides a dedicated power and control stage for one connected motor, allowing the machine controller to coordinate movement through the selected industrial network.
The power stage accepts a line supply of 3 × AC 200–500 V (+10%/-15%) and can deliver up to 100 A to the motor. Thermal energy is removed by internal air cooling, allowing heat generated by the power electronics to move through the converter and into the surrounding cabinet airflow. The housing is rated IP20, so the unit must be installed inside a protected enclosure that prevents contact with internal electrical components. Axis commands are transmitted through EtherCAT (SoE) within a Multi-Ethernet framework, supporting coordinated communication with the plant controller. Regulation is performed by the ctrlX DRIVEplus control hardware, which processes motion commands and motor feedback. The converter operates with DRIVE Runtime in the Standard environment and supports output frequencies below 599 Hz. A front panel is fitted to the device, while the standard delivery does not include a motor connector set.
Internal SafeMotion hardware supports controlled safety responses within the drive. Hardware option 1 provides Safe Torque Off (STO), which removes torque-producing energy from the motor during a fault or emergency stop. The power section includes a braking transistor that manages regenerated energy returned to the converter during motor deceleration. Option 2 adds a multi-encoder interface for connecting supported motor and position feedback devices, including configurations that use more than one feedback source. Option 3 supplies a digital and analog I/O extension for local sensors, switches, and actuators. These connections allow external signals to interact directly with drive functions without requiring every device to be routed through a separate remote I/O station.
