Product Description:
The XCS2-W0100ABN-02AETM5ECNN-S04RSN1NNNP3NN is a single-axis converter supplied by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the XCS Single Axis CtrlX Converters series. As a Generation 2 ctrlX DRIVE unit, it forms the power stage between the plant mains and a servo or induction motor. The converter regulates motor speed and torque for one mechanical axis in automated production equipment. It receives motion commands from an automation controller and converts incoming electrical power into the controlled output required by the connected motor.
The converter accepts three-phase AC 200–500 V, +10%/-15%, allowing operation from common 230 V and 480 V mains without a transformer. Its continuous motor current is limited to 100 A before thermal derating is required. The IP20 housing protects against accidental contact with live components and is intended for installation inside a control cabinet. An internal airflow path removes heat from the power electronics without requiring separate cooling ducts. Command and diagnostic information passes through a Multi-Ethernet interface, which supports EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, and other compatible industrial networks through one connection. Regulation algorithms run on ctrlX DRIVEplus hardware, providing the processing resources needed for closed-loop axis control. The output frequency remains below 599 Hz, and the compact enclosure does not include additional mechanical options.
For controlled deceleration, the power section includes a braking transistor that routes surplus DC-bus energy to an external braking resistor. Feedback devices connect through the multi-encoder interface, allowing the converter to process position and speed signals from compatible encoders. The unit is supplied with a panel but without a motor connector set, so the required motor connection components must be selected separately. Motion data are exchanged through Sercos III, while SafeMotion (M5) monitors safety-related motion and includes a SafeMotion Speed function for limiting velocity. The installed software is DRIVE Runtime Productivity, released as Version 04 for the XCS2 platform. This standard runtime operates without technology apps. The third hardware slot is not equipped, leaving the installed interface arrangement unchanged.
