Product Description:
The XCS2-W0100ABN-01NETT0NNNN-S03RSN2NNNN0NN is a single-axis converter manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the XCS Single Axis ctrlX Converters series. It belongs to the second-generation ctrlX DRIVE platform and regulates motor speed and torque in automated production lines, packaging machinery, and material-handling cells. The converter changes incoming AC power into an adjustable three-phase output according to real-time motion commands. Its single-axis design combines power conversion and motion control within one unit, reducing the number of separate drive components required inside the control cabinet.
The device accepts a supply of 3 x AC 200–500 V (+10%/−15%), supporting a broad range of industrial power systems without requiring an external transformer. Its power modules deliver up to 100 A of continuous current to the connected machine axis. Air circulates through the chassis to remove heat and keep internal components within their permitted operating temperatures. The IP20 enclosure protects against accidental contact with internal electrical parts while allowing the airflow needed for cooling. A Multi-Ethernet port supports communication with several industrial network protocols, allowing the converter to connect with different control architectures. Motion telegrams are processed locally through the EtherCAT SoE stack, supporting short communication cycles and synchronized axis commands. The maximum output frequency is 599 Hz, accommodating high-speed motor operation within the converter’s operating range.
Control processing is based on the ctrlX DRIVE hardware platform, which supports modular drive functions and coordinated motion control. The installed DRIVE Runtime package is Version 03 and uses the standard runtime environment for core converter operation. SafeMotion hardware option 1 provides an integrated Safe Torque Off channel that prevents torque-producing motor current when the safety function is activated. Two STO inputs latch the safety status and provide separate input channels for the shutdown command. A built-in braking transistor routes regenerated energy from the DC bus to an external braking resistor instead of feeding that energy back into the incoming mains supply.
