Product Description:
The XCS2-W0100ABN-01AETT0NNNN-S04RSN2NNNN0NN is a single-axis converter from Bosch Rexroth Indramat in the XCS Single Axis ctrlX Converters series. Classified as a Generation 2 ctrlX DRIVE unit, it conditions three-phase mains power and supplies regulated power to compatible servo or induction motors. The converter is intended for compact machine cells and conveyor lines that require high power density, precise motion control, and integrated safety functions. Its embedded drive electronics reduce the need for separate control components and simplify wiring within protected electrical cabinets.
The converter accepts a three-phase supply of 3 x AC 200 to 500 V, +10%/-15%, allowing operation with a broad range of industrial mains sources. Its power stage can deliver up to 100 A of output current for compatible medium-frame motors. Heat is removed through internal air cooling, which eliminates the need for a separate external fan kit while requiring adequate cabinet airflow. The IP20 enclosure protects against contact with hazardous internal parts and is intended for installation in a suitable cabinet. Motion and parameter processing run on the ctrlX DRIVE platform with the standard DRIVE Runtime environment, and the runtime layer is Version 04 for XCS2 units. A local operating panel provides direct access to setup and diagnostic functions, while the required motor connectors must be selected separately for the installation.
Network integration is provided through a Multi-Ethernet interface, giving the converter access to supported industrial communication networks. In this configuration, the unit communicates through EtherCAT with SoE for cyclic command, status, and diagnostic data exchange with a compatible controller. Energy returned by the motor during rapid deceleration is controlled by a built-in braking transistor, which supports connection to an appropriate braking resistor. The converter includes Safe Torque Off (STO), which prevents torque-producing motor current when the safety function is activated. The first hardware slot contains the SafeMotion option, adding motion-related safety functions beyond basic torque removal. The standard runtime environment operates without technology-function applications installed, allowing the control system to supply the required motion commands through the selected network interface.
