Product Description:
The XCS2-W0100ABN-01AETT0NNNN-S04RSN1NNNN0NN is a Generation 2 single-axis converter from the Bosch Rexroth Indramat XCS Single Axis ctrlX Converters series. Built on the ctrlX DRIVE platform, it operates between a motion controller and a motor to regulate power for one axis in automated handling, packaging, and production machinery. The converter supports controlled motor torque, speed, and position when paired with a compatible controller and feedback system. A front-mounted panel provides local access to operating information and configuration settings, while the compact format supports installation in densely arranged electrical cabinets.
The drive exchanges control data through a Multi-Ethernet interface, allowing the communication network to be selected without changing the installed converter hardware. Heat generated by the power electronics is removed through internal air cooling, eliminating the need for an external heat exchanger. The housing has an IP20 degree of protection, making the converter suitable for installation inside a closed electrical enclosure that prevents direct contact with energized components. The power input accepts three-phase mains from 200–500 V AC with a +10%/-15% tolerance, accommodating a broad range of industrial supply systems. Its power stage can deliver up to 100 A of motor current to support acceleration and changing load demands. Proper cabinet airflow must be maintained so the internal cooling path can transfer heat away from the power section during operation.
A built-in braking transistor allows regenerated energy to be directed to a compatible braking resistor during motor deceleration. Cyclic commands can be transmitted through Sercos III when the application requires deterministic communication and synchronized motion. Functional safety is provided by an integrated Safe Torque Off (STO) channel, which prevents torque-producing motor current when the safety function is activated. The converter uses a standard ctrlX DRIVE runtime environment for parameter processing and drive control functions. Its motor connector set is omitted, allowing the required cabling and connection components to be selected for the installed motor. The maximum output frequency remains below 599 Hz, and the unit operates without Hardware Options 2 and 3.
