Product Description:
The XCS2-W0100ABN-01AETT0ECNN-S05RSN2NNNN0NN is a Generation 2 single-axis converter manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the XCS Single Axis ctrlX Converters series. As a component of the ctrlX DRIVE platform, it provides closed-loop motor control for positioning and speed regulation tasks in automated machinery, while the integrated SafeMotion hardware supports applications that require certified stop functions. A front-mounted panel is included for local parameter access, allowing operating information and settings to be viewed directly at the converter.
The converter accepts a three-phase supply of 200–500 V AC with a tolerance of +10%/-15% and can deliver up to 100 A of output current to a connected motor. Thermal losses are removed through internal air cooling that relies on cabinet airflow, and the electronics are housed in an enclosure rated IP20 for protection against accidental contact inside a suitable panel. Network wiring uses the Multi-Ethernet interface, allowing the same hardware to operate with EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, and other supported communication protocols without additional option cards. A motor connector set is not supplied, allowing cable assemblies to be selected according to the motor connection and installation requirements.
Real-time drive commands are exchanged through EtherCAT (SoE) communication. The multi-encoder interface is unpopulated in this configuration, so the required feedback connection must be selected when multi-turn or high-resolution position data are needed. Dynamic braking energy is dissipated by the built-in braking transistor, while the certified Safe Torque Off (STO) circuit prevents hazardous motion by interrupting gate signals to the power stage. The converter uses the current release of DRIVE Runtime with Version 05 code for this XCS2 generation. Additional technology apps are not installed, and hardware option 3 is not equipped. No export license is required because the maximum output frequency remains below 599 Hz.
