Product Description:
The XCS2-W0090ARN-02NETT0ECNN-S03RSN2TF1S0NN is a single-axis converter from Bosch Rexroth Indramat in the XCS Single Axis ctrlX Converters series. Designed for Generation 2 of the ctrlX DRIVE platform, it converts factory mains power into precisely regulated motor power, allowing one servo motor or spindle to follow motion profiles issued by a higher-level controller. The module combines power electronics, safety circuitry, and network interfaces in a compact housing. Its integrated design supports high-density cabinet layouts used in modular automation systems while reducing the number of separate drive components required for one axis.
The converter accepts 3 x AC 200 to 500 V with a tolerance of +10% to -15% and delivers up to 90 A of continuous phase current, accommodating a broad range of medium-power servo motors. Internal airflow removes heat generated by switching losses, while the housing carries an IP20 protection rating suitable for cabinet installation. Command and status data move over EtherCAT (SoE), providing communication cycle times appropriate for coordinated motion-control tasks. Hardware option 1 enables SafeMotion, allowing the drive to activate Safe Torque Off (STO) rapidly when a hazardous condition is detected. The Standard runtime environment supervises parameters, records faults, and operates below a fundamental frequency of 599 Hz.
The converter is built on the ctrlX DRIVEplus platform, and Version 03 (XCS2) supports Technology Apps for specialized positioning, robotics, and process functions that execute inside the drive. Multi-Ethernet support allows the converter to communicate through multiple industrial Ethernet protocols, while the built-in multi-encoder interface accommodates compatible motor feedback devices without additional interface cards. An integrated braking transistor and braking resistor absorb regenerated energy during rapid deceleration, reducing the need for external braking components. The unit is supplied without a control panel or motor connector set, so those installation components must be selected separately when required. These connection provisions allow the converter to be configured for the motor, feedback system, and cabinet wiring used by the application.
