The XCS2-W0070ARN-02NETT0ECNN-S03RSN2TF1S0NN is a single-axis converter from the XCS Single Axis CtrlX Converters series produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat. As a Generation 2 ctrlX DRIVE device, it supplies regulated power to one motor axis and executes motion commands within automated machinery, forming the link between the plant controller and the mechanical load. Communication with higher-level controls is handled through the Multi-Ethernet interface, supporting integration with common industrial network architectures. Command processing runs on the ctrlX DRIVEplus hardware platform, which manages motor control and application functions for the connected axis.
Internally directed air guides heat away from the power electronics and maintains suitable component temperatures during operation. The power stage accepts a three-phase supply of 3 × AC 200–500 V, +10%/-15% and delivers up to 70 A of continuous output current. The converter has an IP20 degree of protection, which prevents finger contact with hazardous internal parts but does not provide protection against dust or water. A multi-encoder interface is fitted as hardware option 2, allowing the drive to process feedback from supported motor and external encoders. Hardware option 3 is not equipped, and the unit has no additional mechanical design features. These characteristics allow the converter to be installed in a suitable control cabinet with the required clearances and protection.
The power section contains an integrated braking transistor and braking resistor for dissipating regenerated energy during motor deceleration. Field networks can exchange cyclic data over EtherCAT (SoE), while functional safety includes Safe Torque Off (STO) and the SafeMotion hardware scope activated as option 1. Motion logic uses Version 03 (XCS2) in the standard runtime environment. The converter supports the uploading of Technology Apps for application-specific motion and control functions. No operating panel is mounted, and the motor connector set is omitted so the installation can use connectors selected for the field-wiring arrangement. The maximum output frequency remains below 599 Hz, so this configuration does not require an export license. The converter supplies controlled motor power, processes encoder signals, and communicates motion data through its available network interfaces without requiring a separate axis control module.
