Product Description:
The XCS2-W0070ARN-02AETM5NNNN-S05RSN2NNNN3NN is a Generation 2 single-axis converter in the XCS Single Axis ctrlX Converters series manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat. As part of the ctrlX DRIVE platform, it converts three-phase mains power into regulated motor voltage and current for one servo or induction axis. This conversion allows an automation controller to issue precise speed and torque commands for machinery that requires coordinated motion. The single-axis format provides a dedicated power and control stage for the connected motor.
The power section accepts a three-phase AC 200–500 V input with a +10% / -15% tolerance and can deliver up to 70 A of output current to the connected motor. The enclosure carries an IP20 protection rating, providing protection against contact and limited protection from cabinet dust. Internal air cooling removes heat from the power electronics during operation. Command and diagnostic data are exchanged over EtherCAT (SoE), while the built-in Multi-Ethernet interface supports broader network connectivity. Axis control is executed by the embedded ctrlX DRIVEplus hardware, and the Standard runtime environment provides the DRIVE Runtime functions. The maximum output frequency remains below 599 Hz, so an export license is not required for this frequency range.
Safety-related motion functions are provided by SafeMotion (M5) with the SafeMotion Speed subset. The installed software release is Version 05 (XCS2) from the current release stream. An integrated braking transistor and onboard braking resistor dissipate regenerated energy during dynamic deceleration, removing the need for an external braking chopper. A front-mounted operating panel provides local access for setup and status review. The converter is supplied without a motor connector set, so the required motor connection components must be selected separately for the installation. Hardware options 2 and 3 are not installed, and the unit does not include additional technology function applications. The DRIVE Runtime operates within the Standard environment without requiring extra function licenses.
