Product Description:
The XCS2-W0070ARN-02AETM5NNNN-S04RSN2NNNN3NN is a single-axis converter from the XCS Single Axis CtrlX Converters series produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat. As a second-generation ctrlX DRIVE device, it supplies regulated power and motion control to one servo or induction motor within an automated machine. The converter pairs with ctrlX CORE or external PLCs to perform speed, torque, and position control in packaging, material-handling, and processing equipment.
The power stage uses ctrlX DRIVEplus hardware and removes heat through internal air cooling, so adequate cabinet airflow must be maintained without an external heat sink. Its electronics are protected by an IP20 housing, which is intended for installation inside an enclosure that prevents exposure to liquids and excessive dust. The mains input accepts three-phase AC from 200 to 500 V with a tolerance of +10% to -15%, allowing operation on a broad range of industrial power networks without a step-down transformer. The power section supplies up to 70 A of output current for compatible medium-frame synchronous or induction motors used in dynamic applications. An attached front panel supports local parameter entry and status viewing, allowing essential operating information to be accessed directly at the converter.
For system integration, the converter provides Multi-Ethernet connectivity and exchanges motion data with higher-level controllers through EtherCAT (SoE), supporting short communication cycles across synchronized machine axes. Regenerated energy produced during motor deceleration is handled by an integrated braking transistor and braking resistor, reducing the need for an external brake chopper in suitable applications. The converter includes SafeMotion (M5), which supports safety functions such as Safe Torque Off, Safe Stop 1, and Safely Limited Speed when the required sensors and safety circuits are connected. The DRIVE Runtime environment processes motion commands and coordinates control functions for positioning, velocity regulation, and controlled deceleration. Its single-axis layout concentrates motor control, network communication, braking support, local operation, and functional safety within a compact cabinet-mounted device.
