Product Description:
The XCS2-W0070ARN-02AETM5NNNN-S03RSN2NNNN5NN is a Generation 2 single-axis converter from Bosch Rexroth Indramat in the XCS Single Axis ctrlX Converters series. It combines power electronics and drive control in one unit to regulate a single servo or induction motor axis. The converter translates automation commands into controlled motor voltage and current, supporting accurate position, speed, and torque regulation. Its single-axis design is suitable for packaging equipment, assembly systems, and light material-handling cells that require coordinated motion. The integrated architecture also reduces the number of separate control components required inside the electrical cabinet.
The converter accepts a three-phase input of 200 to 500 VAC (+10%/-15%) and supplies up to 70 A of motor current for medium-duty axes. Heat is removed through internal air cooling, which requires sufficient cabinet airflow around the housing. The enclosure has an IP20 rating and is intended for installation inside a protective cabinet. Control networks connect through Multi-Ethernet hardware, while real-time drive communication uses EtherCAT (SoE). A built-in operating panel provides local access for parameter entry and diagnostic review without requiring a separate panel. Regenerated energy is handled by an integrated braking transistor and braking resistor, reducing the need for an external braking unit. The fundamental output frequency remains below 599 Hz. The converter is supplied without a motor connector set, allowing the motor cabling to be selected for the installation.
Axis functions operate under DRIVE Runtime on the ctrlX DRIVEplus platform. The unit uses Version 03 for the XCS2 product generation and provides a standard runtime environment for drive-control tasks. Functional safety is supplied through SafeMotion (M5), including the SafeMotion Position scope for monitored axis movement. These safety functions support controlled motion states and position-related monitoring within the drive. No technology function applications are installed, leaving the standard runtime available for the intended axis-control configuration. Hardware option positions 2 and 3 are unpopulated, and the delivered operating panel remains available for local status checks, parameter adjustments, and fault review. Site-specific motor wiring can be connected after the appropriate connector arrangement has been selected for the machine.
