Product Description:
The XCS2-W0070ARN-01NETT0NNNN-S05RSN2NNNN0NN is a single-axis power converter manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the XCS Single Axis ctrlX Converters series. Built on the Generation 2 ctrlX DRIVE platform, the unit interfaces directly with motor feedback devices and higher-level controllers to regulate the voltage and current supplied to a connected motor. It operates between the three-phase power supply and a servo or induction motor in industrial automation systems. The converter supports precise control of motor torque, speed, and position while occupying limited space inside a control cabinet.
The communication layer supports Multi-Ethernet interfaces, allowing the converter to connect to different industrial Ethernet networks. Real-time command and diagnostic data are exchanged through EtherCAT (SoE), which supports coordinated motion and communication with the main controller. The power section accepts a three-phase supply of AC 200–500 V (+10%/-15%) and provides up to 70 A of motor output current. The enclosure has an IP20 protection rating, so the converter must be installed in a control cabinet or switchgear area protected against conductive dust, moisture, and direct contact. Drive logic runs on the internal ctrlX DRIVE controller under the Standard runtime environment with the DRIVE Runtime functional scope. This processing arrangement allows the controller to execute motion commands, monitor operating conditions, and manage drive parameters without requiring a separate drive-control processor.
Heat from the power electronics is removed through internal air cooling, so the cabinet must provide adequate airflow around the converter. The power stage contains an integrated braking transistor and braking resistor that dissipate regenerated energy when the motor decelerates. Functional safety includes Safe Torque Off (STO) through the first SafeMotion hardware option, allowing torque-producing motor power to be disabled without disconnecting the converter from its main supply. The unit is supplied without an operating panel, so configuration and status monitoring are performed through the connected control system or an appropriate service interface. A motor connector set is also not included and must be selected to match the motor and cable arrangement used in the machine. The maximum output frequency remains below 599 Hz, which places the unit within the stated operating frequency range for this configuration.
