Product Description:
The Bosch Rexroth Indramat XCS2-W0070ARN-01NETT0NNNN-S03RSN1NNNN0NN is a Generation 2 single-axis converter in the XCS Single Axis ctrlX Converters series. Built on the ctrlX DRIVE platform, the unit conditions three-phase mains power and delivers regulated power to a single motor, allowing motion modules, gantry axes, or material-handling stations to operate from a compact installation. The converter combines power conversion, safety, and fieldbus communication in one housing for use in integrated packaging, assembly, and automation cells. Its single-axis design provides centralized control of motor torque, speed, and position when paired with a compatible controller and feedback system.
The power stage accepts an input of 3 x AC 200 to 500 V, +10%/-15%, allowing installation on a wide range of industrial power systems without an external transformer. The output provides up to 70 A continuous RMS, which is the motor current the drive can sustain under its rated operating conditions. Thermal energy is removed through internal air cooling, with an embedded fan circulating cabinet air through the heat sink. Overvoltage generated during deceleration is dissipated by the integrated braking transistor and braking resistor, eliminating the need for a separate dynamic braking module. The electronics have an IP20 degree of protection, so the unit must be installed inside an enclosed control cabinet. Touch-safe clearances help reduce the risk of accidental contact when the cabinet is accessed.
The interface block supports Multi-Ethernet communication and enables the converter to connect with compatible industrial control networks. The Sercos III protocol supports synchronous cyclic data exchange with a PLC, helping coordinate motion across networked machine axes. Safety is provided through the SafeMotion hardware option, which allows the drive to execute Safe Torque Off (STO) independently of the controller. This function prevents torque-producing energy from reaching the motor when the safety circuit is activated. Application software runs in the DRIVE Runtime environment at Version 03 (XCS2). Standard runtimes support the drive’s core motion-control functions without requiring an additional technology function application.
