Product Description:
The XCS2-W0070ARN-01AETT0NNNN-S04RSN4NNNN0NN is a Generation 2 single-axis converter manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the XCS Single Axis ctrlX Converters series. It belongs to the ctrlX DRIVE automation platform and supplies and regulates one servo or induction motor in industrial machinery. The converter changes three-phase mains power into controlled motor power while processing motion commands received through industrial fieldbus networks. In this role, it forms the electrical interface between a PLC and the motor, supporting precise speed and torque control on packaging lines, handling stations, and general manufacturing axes.
The converter accepts a three-phase 200–500 V AC input with a tolerance of +10% to -15%, allowing it to operate across a broad range of industrial power systems. Its integrated power electronics provide up to 70 A of continuous output current for applications with demanding torque and acceleration requirements. Internal air cooling directs waste heat through the housing, while the IP20 enclosure rating requires installation inside a ventilated control cabinet. The power section contains an integrated braking transistor and resistor that dissipate regenerated energy during motor deceleration without requiring separate braking hardware. Built on the ctrlX DRIVE platform, the converter supports Multi-Ethernet communication. The PROFINET IO protocol is enabled for direct communication with compatible factory control networks without an additional gateway module.
Functional safety includes Safe Torque Off (STO), which disables torque-producing motor power when a safe stop is required. Hardware option 1 provides SafeMotion functions for monitored motion and axis safety tasks. A panel is included with the front cover, but the motor connector set is not supplied, allowing the required motor cabling to be selected separately. The converter operates in the DRIVE Runtime environment at Version 04. It uses the standard runtime without technology-function applications. The maximum output frequency remains below 599 Hz, so the unit is not subject to the stated export license restriction.
