Product Description:
The XCS2-W0070ARN-01AETT0NNNN-S04RSN2NNNN0NN is a Generation 2 ctrlX DRIVE single-axis converter produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the XCS Single Axis CtrlX Converters series. It serves as a dedicated motion-control power stage between the electrical supply and a compatible servo or induction motor. The converter delivers regulated motor current for position, speed, and torque control in industrial automation cells. Its single-axis design is suitable for machinery that requires an independently controlled drive within a coordinated motion system.
The converter operates with a three-phase input of 3 × AC 200–500 V, -15% to +10% and supplies up to 70 A of motor current. Thermal management uses internal air cooling to remove heat from the power electronics during operation. The housing has an IP20 protection rating, so the unit must be installed inside a suitable switch cabinet. Command and diagnostic data are transmitted through EtherCAT (SoE) over the Multi-Ethernet interface, which also supports compatible real-time industrial networks. The ctrlX DRIVE control section handles motor regulation, parameter storage, and operating diagnostics. A detachable operator panel is installed to provide local access to drive information and settings. The motor connector set is omitted so the connection components can be selected for the cable technology used by the machine.
Functional safety includes Safe Torque Off (STO), which prevents torque-producing motor current when the safety function is activated. Hardware option 1 adds SafeMotion capability for advanced motion-safety functions supported by the selected system configuration. Energy returned during rapid motor deceleration is handled by an integrated braking transistor and braking resistor, reducing the need for separate braking components. Motion logic operates in the DRIVE Runtime environment, which provides the processing layer for drive functions and application control. The installed application release is Version 04 (XCS2), and the runtime classification is Standard. The output frequency remains below 599 Hz. The converter is supplied with its control panel installed and does not include additional technology-function applications.
