Product Description:
The XCS2-W0070ARN-01AETT0NNNN-S04RSN1NNNN0NN is a single-axis converter produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the XCS Single Axis ctrlX Converters series. Classified as a second-generation unit in the ctrlX DRIVE family, it integrates power electronics and safety circuitry to control one servo or induction motor in automated machinery. The converter conditions three-phase mains power and generates the variable output frequency and torque required by the connected motor. In packaging lines, palletizers, and compact assembly systems, it serves as the axis-level interface between PLC motion commands and mechanical movement.
The converter accepts a three-phase supply of 3 × AC 200–500 V (+10%/-15%) and can deliver up to 70 A RMS to the connected motor. Heat is removed through internal air cooling, eliminating the need for external cooling ducts while supporting installation in a closed control cabinet. An integrated braking transistor and braking resistor dissipate regenerated energy when the motor decelerates. The electronics are protected by an IP20 housing, which prevents accidental contact with hazardous internal components and blocks the entry of large solid objects. A front panel provides local access to operating parameters and status information. The unit supports the standard DRIVE Runtime functional scope for axis control tasks.
A Multi-Ethernet interface supports communication over common industrial Ethernet networks and connects the converter to higher-level machine controls. The deterministic Sercos III channel provides synchronized cyclic data exchange for coordinated motion loops. SafeMotion hardware option 1 provides Safe Torque Off (STO), which disables motor-producing torque by removing the power-stage gate pulses without requiring external power contactors. Control tasks run on ctrlX DRIVE hardware, providing the processing resources required for motor regulation, communication, and safety monitoring. The converter is supplied without a motor connector set, allowing the power and feedback cabling to be selected for the connected motor and machine layout.
