Product Description:
The XCS2-W0070ARN-01AETT0NNNN-S03RSN4NNNN0NN single-axis converter is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the XCS Single Axis CtrlX Converters series. The unit belongs to Generation 2 of the ctrlX DRIVE platform and is intended to regulate the speed and torque of one servo or induction motor in automated machinery. By combining power electronics and drive intelligence, it links the control system to the motor and forms a core component of motion-control loops on assembly lines, packaging stations, and material-handling equipment.
The converter communicates over Multi-Ethernet and uses ctrlX DRIVE control hardware, so PLCs can select fieldbuses without requiring a different device. Its enclosure carries an IP20 degree of protection and relies on internal airflow to remove heat, making it suitable for cabinet installation where exposure to dust and liquids is limited. The three-phase input accepts 3 x AC 200–500 V with a tolerance of +10%/-15%, accommodating a broad range of industrial power systems. The power stage can deliver up to 70 A of output current to the motor winding for demanding motion applications. For dynamic deceleration, the power section contains an integrated braking transistor and braking resistor, allowing excess kinetic energy to be dissipated without an external braking module.
Network interoperability is extended by the built-in PROFINET IO protocol, which transports real-time setpoints and diagnostic data to the controller. The product is Version 03 (XCS2) and supports the associated DRIVE Runtime environment. Safety integration is handled through the drive-embedded Safe Torque Off (STO) function, which prevents the motor from producing torque when activated. When combined with the SafeMotion hardware option, this function uses dual-channel logic to help machinery meet applicable stop-category requirements without additional contactors. A front-mounted panel permits local parameter entry, while the absence of a supplied motor connector set allows the use of application-specific cabling.
