Product Description:
The XCS2-W0070ARN-01AETT0NNNN-S03RSN2NNNN0NN is a single-axis converter from the Bosch Rexroth Indramat XCS Single Axis CtrlX Converters series. Built on ctrlX DRIVE control hardware, the unit forms the power stage that connects a servo or induction motor to higher-level automation networks. It provides closed-loop speed and torque control for one motor axis in industrial machinery. Its compact housing reduces the amount of cabinet space required and supports installation alongside other modular drive components.
An internal blower moves air across the heat sink, providing internal air cooling without external ducting. The enclosure has an IP20 rating, which protects against accidental contact with internal electrical components but does not protect against water. The power section accepts a three-phase supply of 200 to 500 VAC, +10%/-15%, allowing the converter to operate with several common industrial supply voltages. It provides up to 70 A of output current for acceleration and other dynamic load conditions. A preinstalled operating panel provides local access to drive parameters and status information. Communication is handled by Multi-Ethernet hardware, which supports compatible industrial Ethernet protocols for integration with machine controllers. A motor connector set is not included, allowing the cabling and connectors to be selected for the connected motor.
Real-time axis commands are transmitted through EtherCAT with Servo Drive Profile over EtherCAT, supporting synchronized communication between the converter and the motion controller. The power electronics include an integrated braking transistor and braking resistor, which dissipate regenerated energy when the motor decelerates. The converter is identified as Version 03 for the XCS2 platform and operates with the standard functional scope of the DRIVE Runtime environment. SafeMotion hardware option 1 provides Safe Torque Off (STO), which prevents the power stage from producing motor torque when the safety function is activated. This function supports emergency stopping arrangements by de-energizing the motor output without requiring the main supply to be disconnected from the entire drive system.
