Product Description:
The XCS2-W0070ARN-01AETT0ECNN-S04RSN2NNNP0NN is a Generation 2 single-axis converter in the Bosch Rexroth Indramat XCS Single Axis ctrlX Converters series. Working as the power stage for a servo or induction motor, it conditions incoming three-phase power and controls the current, voltage, and braking energy through the ctrlX DRIVE hardware. The unit fits inside a control cabinet and provides a compact means of regulating motion in packaging, material-handling, and general automation systems. Its single-axis design allows it to operate one connected motor through closed-loop torque, speed, or position control.
The converter accepts three-phase 200–500 V AC (+10/-15%) and can deliver up to 70 A to the motor windings. Thermal management relies on internal air cooling, so cabinet airflow removes heat from the converter during operation. The IP20 enclosure protects against accidental contact with internal components and is intended for installation in a clean, closed panel. The integrated power section contains a braking transistor and resistor that convert excess kinetic energy into heat without requiring separate braking hardware. Communication with PLCs and higher-level motion controllers is handled through a Multi-Ethernet interface, allowing the converter to connect to supported industrial networks. A factory-mounted operating panel provides local access to parameters and status information. The unit is supplied without a motor connector set, allowing the appropriate cable and connector arrangement to be selected for the connected motor and cabinet layout.
Functional safety is provided by the STO circuit in Hardware Option 1 SafeMotion, which shuts down torque production when the safety function is activated. Command and diagnostic traffic runs through the EtherCAT (SoE) channel, supporting cyclic communication with the motion controller. Feedback devices connect through the Hardware Option 2 multi-encoder interface, which accommodates compatible motor feedback systems for closed-loop operation. The maximum output frequency remains below 599 Hz. The standard DRIVE Runtime Productivity environment supports the converter’s control functions, while the installed operating panel provides direct access to drive information. Hardware Option 3 is not installed, and the unit does not include an additional technology function application.
