Product Description:
The XCS2-W0070ARN-01AETT0ECNN-S04RSN2NNNN0NN is a Generation 2 single-axis converter in the XCS Single Axis ctrlX Converters series from Bosch Rexroth Indramat. Installed in a ctrlX DRIVE-based cabinet, the device supplies regulated output power to one servo or induction motor. It converts incoming three-phase power into controlled motor voltage and current so the automation controller can manage speed, torque, and position. Its single-axis configuration is intended for machines that require an independently controlled drive channel within a larger automation system.
Field connectivity is provided through a Multi-Ethernet interface, which supports communication with compatible industrial control networks. The power stage accepts a three-phase supply of 3 × AC 200–500 V with a +10%/-15% tolerance. The converter can deliver up to 70 A of motor current under the permitted supply conditions. Heat is removed through internal air cooling, so the cabinet must provide sufficient clearance for airflow through the converter. The housing has an IP20 degree of protection and is intended for installation inside a closed electrical enclosure. High-speed motion communication uses the EtherCAT (SoE) protocol, allowing command and status data to be exchanged with the automation controller. Drive functions operate in the Standard runtime environment with the DRIVE Runtime functional scope.
The power section includes an integrated braking transistor and braking resistor that dissipate regenerated energy during motor deceleration. SafeMotion hardware option 1 provides the certified Safe Torque Off function, which prevents torque-producing motor current when the safety function is active. A multi-encoder interface supports compatible feedback devices for motor control and position monitoring. The converter includes a front-mounted panel for local access to operating parameters and status information. It is supplied without a motor connector set, so the required field-wiring connectors must be obtained separately. The maximum output frequency remains below 599 Hz, and the associated export license flag is cleared.
