Product Description:
The XCS2-W0070ARN-01AETT0ECNN-S03RSN4NNNN0NN is a single-axis converter produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the XCS Single Axis ctrlX Converters series. As a Generation 2 member of the ctrlX DRIVE platform, it conditions three-phase mains power for one motor channel in automated machinery. The converter executes motion commands and regulates motor speed and torque within compact control cabinets. Its single-axis architecture is suitable for independently controlled conveyors, processing equipment, handling systems, and other machine axes that require responsive motion.
The converter accepts a line supply of 3 × AC 200–500 V, +10%/-15% and can deliver up to 70 A of output current to the connected motor. Internal airflow carries heat through the heat sink, eliminating the need for external cooling ducts. The enclosure has an IP20 protection rating and must be installed where the surrounding cabinet prevents contact with live components and exposure to contaminants. The with-panel configuration provides the panel required for the selected installation arrangement. A Multi-Ethernet connection allows the converter to exchange control and status data over supported industrial networks without an additional communication card. The motor connector set is omitted, allowing suitable field terminations to be selected for the machine wiring. The unit operates in a standard runtime environment with the DRIVE Runtime functional scope and Version 03 for the XCS2 platform.
The power section includes a braking transistor and braking resistor that dissipate regenerated energy when the motor decelerates. Cyclic communication is available through PROFINET IO, enabling real-time data exchange with compatible machine controllers through the supported network stack. SafeMotion is installed as hardware option 1 and provides Safe Torque Off (STO), which removes torque-producing energy from the motor without disconnecting the converter from its mains supply. This function supports controlled machine states in which unexpected motor torque must be prevented. An optional multi-encoder interface expands position-feedback compatibility for motors and external measuring systems that use supported encoder types. The converter does not include an additional technology function application, leaving motion execution to its standard runtime capabilities and the connected control system.
