Product Description:
The XCS2-W0070ARN-01AETT0ECNN-S03RSN2NNNP0NN is a Generation 2 single-axis converter in the XCS Single Axis CtrlX Converters series from Bosch Rexroth Indramat. Operating within the ctrlX DRIVE platform, it rectifies three-phase mains power and produces controlled motor voltage for one servo or induction motor axis. The converter links commands from a PLC or CNC to the connected motor and regulates the current required for controlled torque and motion. It also processes motor feedback to support accurate speed and position control in industrial automation systems.
The converter accepts an input of 3 × AC 200–500 V (+10%/-15%), allowing operation on common 230 V and 480 V plant power systems without a transformer. Its power stage supplies up to 70 A, while internal air cooling removes heat from the power electronics. The IP20 enclosure protects against contact with hazardous internal parts but requires installation inside a suitable control cabinet. Motion commands and drive data are exchanged through EtherCAT (SoE) using the integrated Multi-Ethernet interface. A front panel is installed, but the motor connector set is omitted so the installation can use separately selected connection components. The converter uses the Standard runtime environment with DRIVE Runtime Productivity, and its maximum output frequency remains below 599 Hz.
The converter is Version 03 (XCS2) and uses ctrlX DRIVE control hardware. Its Multi-Ethernet ports support configurable industrial communication modes, including EtherNet/IP and PROFINET. The integrated Safe Torque Off (STO) function prevents torque-producing motor current when the safety circuit is activated, while the SafeMotion option set provides additional motion-related safety functions. Regenerated energy is managed by an integrated braking transistor and braking resistor, eliminating the need for a separate braking module in supported applications. A multi-encoder interface is installed as hardware option 2, allowing the drive to process compatible motor feedback signals. The unit does not include additional technology function applications, which leaves the available runtime resources focused on its installed drive functions.
