Product Description:
The XCS2-W0070ARN-01AETT0ECNN-S03RSN2NNNN0NN single-axis converter belongs to the XCS Single Axis ctrlX Converters series from Bosch Rexroth Indramat. Designed as Generation 2 hardware within the ctrlX DRIVE platform, the module forms the power stage and control interface between a drive controller and one servo or induction motor. By modulating the supplied three-phase power, it delivers the adjustable frequency and voltage required for precise speed and torque regulation in automated machinery.
The converter accepts an input of 3 × AC 200–500 V with a permitted line variation of +10% to -15%, allowing operation with a broad range of industrial power supplies. Its power stage delivers up to 70 A of continuous current for medium-power axes in packaging and material-handling systems. Heat produced by the IGBT bridge is removed through internal air cooling, eliminating the need for external cooling ducts. The housing has an IP20 degree of protection and is intended for installation inside a suitable control cabinet. Regenerated energy is handled by an integrated braking transistor and braking resistor, which dissipate power during deceleration without requiring a separate brake chopper.
Fieldbus connectivity is provided through a Multi-Ethernet interface that supports communication with Rexroth and third-party control systems. Native EtherCAT (SoE) support enables cyclic command and status exchange with compatible PLCs and motion controllers. Axis disabling is provided by Safe Torque Off (STO) in coordination with the SafeMotion hardware option. This safety function prevents torque-producing energy from reaching the connected motor when activated. A front-mounted operator panel supports local parameter entry and status monitoring without requiring a separate display. Multi-encoder inputs accommodate different motor feedback systems, giving the converter flexibility across servo and induction motor applications. The unit is supplied without a motor connector set, allowing the appropriate connector and cable arrangement to be selected for the installation.
