Product Description:
The XCS2-W0054ARN-02NETM5NNNN-S04RSN1NNNN3NN single-axis converter is built by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the XCS Single Axis ctrlX Converters series. It is a Generation 2 ctrlX DRIVE device intended to regulate one servo or induction motor axis in automated machinery. The converter processes three-phase mains power, generates variable output, and executes safety functions so motion tasks can be synchronized with higher-level controllers on the factory floor. Its single-axis design combines power conversion and motor regulation in a cabinet-mounted unit. The drive can support applications that require coordinated torque, speed, or position control.
The unit exchanges control data over a Multi-Ethernet interface, allowing fieldbus selection without replacing communication hardware. Drive logic is executed on the ctrlX DRIVEplus platform, which supplies processing resources for the DRIVE Runtime environment and safety software. Power enters through a protected bus rated for 3 × AC 200 to 500 V, +10%/-15%, and this wide input range supports various industrial power networks without an autotransformer. The power section can deliver up to 54 A of output current, making it suitable for medium-frame motors that require high dynamic torque. An IP20 housing supports installation in a clean electrical enclosure and helps prevent accidental contact with accessible electrical parts. Hardware option slots two and three are not equipped, and no additional technology function app is installed, keeping the configuration focused on essential drive tasks.
Heat is removed through internal air circulation, so external ducting is unnecessary when adequate cabinet airflow is maintained. Dynamic deceleration energy is handled by an integrated braking transistor and braking resistor, eliminating the need for separate braking modules in suitable applications. Motion control commands can also be exchanged over SERCOS III, which supports deterministic cyclic communication with compatible controllers. The safety package provides speed-related functions up to SafeMotion Speed, supporting applications that require certified motion monitoring without separate safety relays. A control panel is not fitted, and the motor connector set is omitted, allowing wiring components to be selected for the installation. Export of this model is unrestricted because its maximum output frequency remains below 599 Hz.
