Product Description:
The XCS2-W0054ARN-02AETT0NNEM-S06RSN2NNNP0NN is a Generation 2 ctrlX DRIVE single-axis converter built by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the XCS Single Axis ctrlX Converters series. It rectifies and inverts three-phase mains power to supply precision motors while integrating safety and network interfaces in a 65 mm-wide frame. The device fits machine tools, packaging cells, and material-handling stations that require flexible speed control and SIL-rated torque isolation. It serves as the power layer within the broader ctrlX automation platform, supporting coordinated operation with compatible control and motion components.
Rated for a three-phase input of 200 to 500 V AC, +10%/-15%, the converter can deliver up to 54 A through its motor terminals for midrange axis loads. Power components are cooled by internal air circulation, which transfers generated heat through the converter housing and cabinet airflow path. The housing has an IP20 degree of protection, so the unit must be installed inside a suitable control cabinet. Network connectivity is provided by the Multi-Ethernet interface, allowing supervisory controllers to use a supported industrial Ethernet topology. A factory-installed front panel provides local keys and diagnostic information for operating checks. The unit is supplied without a motor connector set, allowing the cabling and connectors to be selected for the application. Its maximum output frequency remains below 599 Hz, removing the export-license restrictions associated with higher output frequencies.
Motion processing runs on ctrlX DRIVEplus hardware, providing the computing resources required for axis regulation and coordinated communication. Deterministic exchanges with the PLC use EtherCAT with Servo Drive Profile over EtherCAT, commonly known as SoE. Functional safety is provided by Safe Torque Off (STO), which prevents torque-producing motor current when the safety function is activated. The SafeMotion option installed in hardware slot 1 adds motion-related safety capabilities to the converter. The power section includes an integrated braking transistor and braking resistor that manage regenerative energy during motor deceleration without requiring external braking hardware. The converter starts in the Standard runtime environment with the DRIVE Runtime Productivity scope, providing the core control functions used for typical drive tasks.
