The XCS2-W0054ARN-02AETT0ECNN-S04RSN2NNNP0NN is a Generation 2 ctrlX DRIVE single-axis converter in the XCS Single Axis CtrlX Converters series from Bosch Rexroth Indramat. It acts as the regulated power interface between a three-phase supply and a synchronous or induction motor. The converter supplies the voltage, current, and real-time control signals required for precise positioning and speed regulation in industrial automation systems. Its cabinet-mounted design combines power electronics, network interfaces, and safety functions in one compact unit, reducing the need for separate external modules.
The converter accepts a 3 × AC 200–500 V supply with a tolerance of +10%/-15% and can deliver up to 54 A to the connected motor. Internal air channels transfer generated heat to the surrounding cabinet airflow during operation. The IP20 enclosure protects against accidental contact with hazardous internal parts when the unit is correctly installed. Power and control functions operate on the ctrlX DRIVEplus platform, which supports the processing required for coordinated motor control. Motion commands and operating data are exchanged through EtherCAT with Servo Drive Profile over EtherCAT, allowing deterministic communication with the higher-level controller. A multi-encoder interface accepts compatible incremental or absolute motor feedback for closed-loop speed and position control. The front panel provides local access for parameter entry and status monitoring. Motor cabling connects without a supplied connector set, allowing the installation to use connectors and cables suited to the selected motor.
The integrated Safe Torque Off function prevents torque-producing energy from reaching the motor when the safety function is activated. Hardware Option 1 adds SafeMotion functions for applications that require expanded motion monitoring. Regenerated energy is routed through the integrated braking transistor and braking resistor, helping control DC-link voltage during motor deceleration. The Multi-Ethernet communication interface provides an industrial Ethernet connection between the converter and the machine controller. The controller operates with the DRIVE Runtime Productivity functional scope in the Standard runtime environment. It does not require a technology function application for its stated operating configuration, and the supplied cabinet panel supports direct local interaction with the unit.
