Product Description:
The XCS2-W0054ARN-02AETT0ECNN-S04RSN1TE1N0NN converter is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the XCS Single Axis ctrlX Converters series. This Generation 2 ctrlX DRIVE single-axis converter conditions three-phase mains power and delivers regulated electrical power to one motor axis in automated machinery. Integrated drive control supports velocity, torque, and position regulation for conveyors, gantries, material-handling equipment, and other industrial motion systems. Built-in safety functions allow the converter to stop motor torque through dedicated control circuitry when a hazardous operating condition occurs.
The converter accepts an input of 3 × AC 200 to 500 V with a +10%/-15% tolerance and can supply up to 54 A of output current to the connected motor. Heat is removed through internal air cooling, so the installation must provide adequate airflow around the converter. The housing has an IP20 rating and is intended for installation inside a suitable enclosure. Command and diagnostic data travel over a Multi-Ethernet interface that supports Sercos III, EtherCAT, and other Ethernet-based communication protocols. An integrated braking transistor and resistor dissipate regenerated energy during motor deceleration without requiring external chopper hardware. SafeMotion functionality is provided through hardware option 1, while the multi-encoder interface supplied as hardware option 2 accepts feedback from resolvers or single-turn encoders. The converter is supplied without a motor connector set.
Drive processing is handled by the ctrlX DRIVEplus control hardware, which hosts firmware revision Version 04 (XCS2). During operation, the converter uses a standard runtime environment with the DRIVE Runtime functional scope for executing motion-control tasks. Machine safety includes Safe Torque Off (STO), which disables the power stage while allowing diagnostic functions to remain active. The maximum output frequency remains below 599 Hz, so the device does not require an export license for that frequency range. Application-specific routines can be uploaded or programmed through the XCS2 Technology Function App. A front-mounted panel supports local parameter entry and presents operating status information from the SafeMotion subsystem.
