Product Description:
The XCS2-W0054ARN-01NETT0NNNN-S04RSN2NNNN0NN single-axis converter belongs to the XCS Single Axis ctrlX Converters series manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat. Classified as a Generation 2 ctrlX DRIVE power stage, it converts incoming three-phase mains power into controlled motor power and performs axis control tasks in packaging lines, gantries, and other industrial automation equipment. Its compact format is intended for cabinet installations where space, wiring distance, and thermal load must be carefully managed.
The power section accepts a three-phase AC input of 200 to 500 V (+10%/-15%), allowing operation on a wide range of low- and medium-voltage power grids without a transformer. Continuous output current reaches 54 A, which is the maximum current the drive can deliver to a synchronous or induction motor under rated conditions. Heat generated by the semiconductor stack is removed through internal air cooling, so external ducting is unnecessary when adequate enclosure airflow is maintained. The IP20 protection class provides protection against accidental finger contact but does not protect the converter against liquids. The unit must therefore be installed inside a closed control cabinet that provides suitable protection from moisture and conductive contaminants. Command and diagnostic traffic is transmitted through EtherCAT (SoE) as part of the Multi-Ethernet interface, enabling fast cyclic communication with motion controllers and safety PLCs.
Functional safety is provided by Safe Torque Off, which prevents the drive from producing motor torque during hazardous conditions without requiring mechanical disconnection. Rapid deceleration is supported by an integrated braking transistor and braking resistor, allowing regenerative energy to be dissipated inside the drive during emergency stops or operation with overhauling loads. The installed software is Version 04, matching the Generation 2 platform and supporting compatible DRIVE Runtime applications. Axis regulation, parameter storage, and diagnostic processing operate on the ctrlX DRIVE control hardware. SafeMotion hardware option 1 is also installed to support compatible safety functions beyond the standard runtime features.
