Product Description:
The XCS2-W0054ARN-01NETT0NNNN-S03RSN4NNNN0NN is a Generation 2 single-axis converter produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the XCS Single Axis CtrlX Converters series. It combines power electronics with integrated control to regulate one servo or induction motor in a modular automation cabinet. By modulating the incoming AC supply, the unit provides controlled current for accurate torque, speed, and position regulation. Real-time data exchange with higher-level controllers supports coordinated motion in packaging equipment, material-handling systems, and general automation machinery.
The enclosure has an IP20 protection rating, which guards against contact with hazardous internal components and the entry of large solid objects. Heat is removed through internal air cooling, so the installation must provide adequate clearance for unobstructed airflow. The power stage accepts a three-phase AC input of 200–500 V with a +10%/-15% tolerance and can deliver up to 54 A to the connected axis. Multi-Ethernet hardware provides flexible network connectivity, while the enabled motion interface uses PROFINET IO for communication with compatible control systems. Export licensing is not required because the maximum output frequency remains below 599 Hz. The converter is supplied without a motor connector set, allowing the required connection hardware to be selected for the installation. A front panel is also omitted to preserve space in compact cabinet layouts.
The control section uses the ctrlX DRIVE platform with the Standard environment and DRIVE Runtime. Its software release is Version 03 (XCS2), which supports the control functions available for this converter generation. Safety hardware option 1 enables SafeMotion functions within the drive. The certified Safe Torque Off (STO) function disables the gate-drive signals to prevent the motor from producing torque when the safety circuit is activated. The power section includes an integrated braking transistor and braking resistor to absorb regenerative energy generated during motor deceleration. This arrangement allows braking energy to be dissipated within the drive instead of returning it to the incoming supply. The converter does not include a technology function app, and its runtime functionality is limited to basic drive-control tasks.
