It is a Generation 2 single-axis converter within the ctrlX DRIVE platform, supplying regulated power and control to a connected servo motor. The IP20 enclosure limits the converter to installation inside a suitable control cabinet. During rapid deceleration, excess energy is handled by an integrated braking transistor and braking resistor, reducing the need for an external braking resistor in many installations. Control logic runs on the ctrlX DRIVE hardware in the Standard environment with DRIVE Runtime. The converter is supplied without a motor connector set or a local operating panel, allowing the required cabling and installation accessories to be selected for the machine. Unused hardware slots can accommodate compatible options when additional functions are required by the application.
