Product Description:
The XCS2-W0054ARN-01AETT0NNNN-S04RSN1NNNN0NN is a converter manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the XCS Single Axis ctrlX Converters series. This second-generation ctrlX DRIVE device converts three-phase mains power into regulated electrical output for one motor axis. It supports precise speed and torque control in conveyors, pick-and-place modules, material-handling systems, and other industrial automation equipment. Its compact form allows installation in densely packed control cabinets where available mounting space is limited.
The converter accepts a three-phase AC input from 200 to 500 V, with a +10%/-15% tolerance, allowing operation on common 230 V and 480 V plant grids without an autotransformer. An output current of 54 A supports motors used for high-torque positioning and demanding acceleration cycles. Regenerated energy is dissipated through the integrated braking transistor and resistor assembly during controlled deceleration. Heat leaves the module through internal air cooling, which depends on suitable cabinet airflow rather than an external heat exchanger. The enclosure has an IP20 rating, so the unit must be installed inside a closed control panel that provides additional protection from dust and moisture. The converter is supplied without a motor connector set, allowing the required cable connection components to be selected for the installed motor. Its maximum carrier frequency remains below 599 Hz, placing the device outside export-controlled frequency ranges identified for higher-frequency equipment.
Drive commands are exchanged over Multi-Ethernet networks and native Sercos III real-time communication channels. These interfaces support cyclic command transmission, status reporting, and coordinated communication with different control platforms. SafeMotion hardware provides Safe Torque Off (STO), which prevents torque-producing current from reaching the motor when the safety function is activated. Runtime processing uses the DRIVE Runtime image in the Standard environment, and its installed feature set is Version 04 (XCS2). Hardware options 2 and 3 are not installed, while application-specific technology functions can be implemented through external control software when required. The included front panel provides direct access to the converter interface for local operation and status viewing.
