Product Description:
The XCS2-W0054ARN-01AETT0NNNN-S03RSN4NNNN0NN is a Generation 2 single-axis converter produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the XCS Single Axis ctrlX Converters series. Intended for the ctrlX DRIVE motion platform, the unit receives three-phase supply power and delivers regulated voltage and frequency to one motor. It also exchanges commands and diagnostic data with higher-level controllers. In factory automation systems, the converter supports coordinated positioning and speed regulation for applications that require controlled single-axis motion.
Communication is handled through a Multi-Ethernet interface, allowing the converter to operate on several supported industrial networks. The factory-enabled PROFINET IO protocol provides real-time data exchange with compatible PLCs. The power stage accepts a supply of 3 × AC 200 to 500 V, +10%/-15%, covering common 230 V and 400 V plant power systems. Under these conditions, the integrated IGBTs can supply up to 54 A of motor current for acceleration and other dynamic operating demands. Airflow through internal ducts removes thermal energy from the power electronics. The open housing has an IP20 protection rating, so the converter must be installed inside a suitable protected cabinet. Parameters can be entered through the built-in control panel, while DRIVE Runtime operates in the Standard runtime environment.
Motion safety is provided by Hardware Option 1 with SafeMotion. Its primary safety function is Safe Torque Off (STO), which disables torque-producing output to the motor when a fault or emergency-stop command occurs. This function allows the drive output stage to enter a safe state without relying solely on ordinary software commands. For rapid deceleration, the power section includes an integrated braking transistor and braking resistor, allowing regenerated energy to be dissipated within the converter. The unit is supplied without a motor connector set, allowing the installation to use cabling selected for the connected motor and machine layout. Its maximum output frequency remains below 599 Hz, providing a broad operating range for compatible motors while keeping the frequency limit clear and easy to verify.
