Product Description:
The XCS2-W0054ARN-01AETT0NNNN-S03RSN2NNNN0NN single-axis converter is built by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the XCS Single Axis ctrlX Converters series. As a Generation 2 ctrlX DRIVE unit, it processes three-phase mains power and delivers regulated output to a servo or induction motor while exchanging motion commands with higher-level PLCs over real-time networks. It serves as the power stage in compact automation cells and provides precise speed and torque regulation. The converter also supports SafeMotion options and is intended for installation inside a control cabinet.
The power input accepts three-phase AC from 200 to 500 V, +10%/-15%, allowing the converter to operate on common low- and medium-voltage power grids. A continuous output current of 54 A lets the drive power compatible medium-frame synchronous or asynchronous motors. The housing has an IP20 rating, so it must be installed inside a suitable protective enclosure while providing basic protection against contact with internal components. Heat is removed through internal air cooling, and the cabinet ventilation must accommodate the resulting exhaust airflow. Command and diagnostic data travel through the built-in Multi-Ethernet interface. Time-critical axis control uses EtherCAT with Servo Drive Profile over EtherCAT telegrams for communication with the motion controller.
Deceleration energy is managed by an integrated braking transistor and braking resistor, reducing the need for an external braking device under suitable operating conditions. Functional safety includes Safe Torque Off (STO), which prevents torque-producing motor current when the safety function is activated. Additional SafeMotion functions can be added through hardware option 1 when the application requires expanded safety capabilities. A front-mounted operating panel provides local access to DRIVE Runtime parameters and operating information. Version 03 supports application loading and software updates through the available service functions. The converter has an output frequency below 599 Hz and does not require an export license based on that frequency limit.
