Product Description:
Bosch Rexroth Indramat supplies the XCS2-W0054ARN-01AETT0ECNN-S03RSN2NNNP0NN as part of its XCS Single Axis ctrlX Converters series. This Generation 2 ctrlX DRIVE single-axis converter conditions three-phase mains power and provides controlled output to one motor. Its closed-loop control capabilities support precise motion in packaging lines, material-handling stations, and other automated equipment that requires coordinated speed, torque, or position control.
The converter accepts a line supply of 3 × AC 200–500 V and can deliver up to 54 A to the motor terminals. Its enclosure has an IP20 protection rating, so the unit is intended for installation inside a cabinet that prevents contact with live components and limits exposure to contaminants. Heat is removed through internal air cooling, which circulates cabinet air across the heat sink. The power section contains an integrated braking transistor and resistor for dissipating regenerated energy during rapid motor deceleration. A motor connector set is not included, allowing suitable cable hardware to be selected for the installed motor and wiring arrangement. The included front-mounted panel provides local access to operating parameters and status information. Input hardware option 2 provides a multi-encoder interface for compatible motor feedback devices. The converter does not require an export license because its maximum output frequency remains below 599 Hz.
Network integration is handled by Multi-Ethernet hardware, which supports EtherCAT (SoE) as the primary communication protocol. This interface exchanges command, feedback, and diagnostic data with the higher-level machine controller during coordinated motion. Safety logic removes torque-producing power through Safe Torque Off, while Hardware option 1 SafeMotion provides advanced motion-monitoring functions. The control hardware uses the ctrlX DRIVE platform with a Standard runtime environment. Its functional scope corresponds to DRIVE Runtime Productivity, and the runtime release class is Standard. No technology function app is installed, leaving the converter configured for its standard drive functions and multi-encoder operation.
