The XCS2-W0054ARN-01AETT0ECNN-S03RSN2NNNN0NN single-axis converter is built by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the XCS Single Axis ctrlX Converters series. It is a Generation 2 ctrlX DRIVE power module intended to supply one motor channel in factory automation cells. The converter conditions three-phase mains power and delivers regulated motor output, allowing connected machinery to follow commanded speed, torque, and position profiles.
It accepts a supply of 3 x AC 200 to 500 V with a tolerance of +10%/-15%, allowing operation from both 200 V and 480 V plant feeders. The power stage provides a continuous axis current of 54 A for sustained motor operation. An integrated braking transistor and resistor dissipate surplus energy produced during rapid motor deceleration. Thermal management relies on internal air cooling, so adequate airflow must be maintained through the enclosure. The housing has an IP20 protection rating, providing protection against finger contact but not against water. The certified Safe Torque Off (STO) function de-energizes the power semiconductors to prevent the motor from producing torque within the applicable reaction time.
System integration is handled through a Multi-Ethernet backplane that provides protocol-specific communication ports. The real-time communication channel uses EtherCAT (SoE) for deterministic transmission of drive commands and operating data. Parameter processing runs on the ctrlX DRIVE control hardware with the Standard runtime environment and DRIVE Runtime functional scope. The installed software is Version 03. Feedback support is expanded through the optional Multi-encoder interface, which accommodates compatible motor feedback systems. Hardware Option 1 adds SafeMotion monitoring beyond the base STO function. A front panel supports local setup and access to operating information. The converter is supplied without a motor connector set, allowing the required cabling to be selected for the installation. Its maximum output frequency remains below 599 Hz.
