Product Description:
The XCS2-W0054ARN-01AETT0ECNN-S03RSN1NNNP0NN is a single-axis power converter produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the XCS Single Axis ctrlX Converters series. Designed for Generation 2 of the ctrlX DRIVE platform, the device conditions three-phase supply power and regulates motor torque and speed in automated production lines. It integrates power electronics, motion control logic, and diagnostic functions in a compact housing, allowing conveyors, packaging equipment, and pick-and-place systems to maintain precise velocity and position control while using minimal cabinet depth.
Network flexibility is provided by the Multi-Ethernet interface, allowing the converter to connect to several industrial fieldbuses without option cards. Its input stage accepts three-phase AC power from 200 to 500 V with a tolerance of +10% to -15%, allowing one model to operate with low- and medium-voltage plant supplies. The power section delivers up to 54 A of continuous motor current, supporting compatible mid-frame synchronous or induction motors. The IP20 enclosure provides protection against accidental contact with internal electrical components but requires installation inside a switchgear cabinet. An integrated braking transistor and braking resistor dissipates regenerative energy during deceleration, reducing the need for an external brake chopper on suitable loads. The Safe Torque Off (STO) function prevents torque-producing power from reaching the motor without relying on electromechanical contactors.
Control tasks run on the ctrlX DRIVE hardware core, while internal air cooling keeps the semiconductor components within their operating temperature limits. A standard multi-encoder interface supports resolvers, EnDat encoders, and other compatible feedback devices, while the front-mounted panel provides direct parameter access. For deterministic motion communication, the network interface supports Sercos III without requiring an additional communication board. The installed software is Version 03 (XCS2) and operates in the Standard environment with the DRIVE Runtime Productivity scope enabled. SafeMotion option 1 is included, and export licensing is not required because the output frequency remains below 599 Hz. The unit is supplied without a motor connector set, allowing the connection hardware to be selected for the required motor cable.
