The XCS2-W0023ARN-02NX3T0NNET-S03RSN0NNNN0NN is a Generation 2 single-axis converter manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the XCS Single Axis ctrlX Converters series. It converts three-phase mains power into regulated voltage and current for precise motor speed and torque control. The converter supports controlled motion in packaging equipment, material-handling systems, production machinery, and other industrial automation applications. Its compact format reduces the installation space required inside a control cabinet while maintaining the power and communication functions needed for one motor axis.
The converter operates with the ctrlX DRIVEplus power and logic module and accepts a three-phase input of 200–500 V AC with a tolerance of +10%/-15%. Its power stage supplies a continuous line current of 23 A for sustained operation. A temperature-controlled fan provides internal air cooling, adjusting airflow as thermal demand changes. The unit has an IP20 protection rating, so it resists contact with hazardous internal parts but is not protected against water. An integrated braking transistor and braking resistor dissipate regenerated energy during rapid motor deceleration without requiring an external braking chopper. The maximum output frequency remains below 599 Hz. A motor connector set is not included, and the front door panel is omitted to reduce cabinet depth. Hardware Option 2 is not equipped in this configuration.
Control communication is handled by ctrlX CORE, which supports software-based configuration and diagnostic functions within the DRIVE Runtime environment. Hardware Option 3 provides a Multi-Ethernet port for connection to compatible industrial Ethernet networks. Protocol support can be selected through the available runtime applications rather than through a fixed, preinstalled communication package. The mandatory Safe Torque Off (STO) circuit prevents torque-producing energy from reaching the motor when the safety function is activated. Hardware Option 1 adds SafeMotion capabilities for extended motion safety functions without a separate safety module. Runtime Version 03 operates in the standard runtime environment, while technology-function applications and diagnostic tools can be installed according to the control system’s requirements. Motor cabling, a panel, and optional applications may be added when required by the machine configuration.
